|
|
I use a corporate canned image of Windows 2000 at work and I can install many things, like Abyss. However, when I try to connect (local host or 127.0.0.1) to see the index page or the console, I get a connection refused. I suspect they have disabled the ports for our secure environment.
I know squat about port configuration in Windows, but can probably get a sys admin to open 80 and 9999 if I can tell them how. Any help out there?
Thanks,

You should not need to open ports on the loopback interface. Are you sure no other web server is running? Is Skype running? Are you able to access the console on port 9999? |

Thanks,
Cancel this topic. I discovered my Netscape had an automatic proxy URL turned on so all I had to do was click the Internet proxy. _________________ Chris F |
