I found the following when checking the access log to my server:
"GET /scripts/..%255c%255c../winnt/system32/cmd.exe?/c+dir" 400 429 "" ""
is this an attempt to hack into my C Drive? and if so, would they have managed to get any information from it?
I currently have my server in a folder on my desktop.

Yes it is almost certainly an attempt to "hack" your server, it is very unlikley that they succeeded though, i've tested that exploit locally on my machine and it failed.

Thanks for that, appears like it was an attempt to hack me. I found this really good site which enables you to track such attempts - and report them.
