 |
				| Hello!
All of a sudden, each time I reboot my PC (Win2K with SP3), I get an error reading the config file and the server refuses to start. I rename the config file and have to do the whole thing over again. This is quite frustrating. Can anyone tell me how to correct this?

 THanks!

 Mike

				| If I install the beta, will my current config pull over or do I have to do everything manually again?
 Thanks!

				| You should get the option, however to be safe backup your config file which can usually be found in "C:\Program Files\Abyss Web Server\Abyss.conf" and also your registration key which can be found in "C:\Program Files\Abyss Web Server\regkey.ser", damn it you'd think I worked with aprelium :D _________________

				| You're right Dave. It is always best to backup your critical data no matter what it is. Failures happen in the real world and backing up those two files will preserve Abyss configurations in case trouble strikes.
I would recommend everyone backups there entire setup if possible but if configurations is all that matters then yes, backing up the Abyss.conf and regkey.ser is a very good move and is also at all times flat out good practice.

No your advice was right. We just said that Abyss Web Server is able to upgrade settings from an old conf file.
