I downloaded zend encoder along time ago and configured it with abyss ver 1.03. I never used it. I had just upgraded abyss, it halted, so I had to change the config to .bak so I could continue the upgrade. my question is: If I download the php from this site should I have any problems? Does it come with a debuger like Zend encoder?

Thanx, Tom

Hello trotter,

You can use the PHP interpreter to debug your PHP scripts. If you run into an
error, do what the error say's. No debugging needed. You can also use a code
editor that allows you to implement PHP with it.

I use a code editor by the name of PSPad. Works great!

I kind of messed up my first message and decided to change it to something a
little bit more simple. Sorry for the confusion.

I will use the Preview button next time. :-)

Should I uninstall the old zend php? I configured that one fine a long time ago. It's in my server files, but when I had to upgrade to the new ver. of abyss I had to to change my old config to .bak so I could upgrade.

trotter,

Abyss Web Server could work with any version of PHP. All you have to do is to declare your PHP interpeter by following the generic instructions in http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/php.html .
