|

Let me start by saying this product is amazing. The interface is very easy to use and I really enjoy the access control.
Now onto my one issue.
I use a program called XBMC. (www.xbmc.org) Basically it streams movies and music.
I am using abyss to host my directory of all my movies and music. And when I connect via xbmc the connection works great but no folders show up at all.
When I connect via Browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari) all the directories show no problem.
So i thought there was an issue with XBMC. So I installed apache (very much dislike this program and DO NOT want to use it) and the directories showed up it XBMC without an issue.
Is there a setting I'm missing? I will paste my forum post with XBMC because it has the log files. No errors are showing up on either program. Just no folders are showing up.

Thank you so much for your assistance!

According to http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?t=51037 , XMBC is coded to recognize only the HTML output of directory listings coming from Apache.
XMBC downloads the HTML of the URL, scans it for some specific tags, and since the format of listings is different on Abyss Web Server, it fails to find what it is looking for.
The solution is to configure Abyss Web Server to mimic Apache listing style by defining a custom directory listing as explained in http://www.aprelium.com/data/doc/2/abyssws-win-doc-html/dirlist.html .
If you need some help with that, please let us know (and contact us on our email support which is monitored on a daily basis contrarily to the forum.) _________________ Follow @abyssws on Twitter
