My opinion is, iNaNimAtE and TRUSTpunk should receive a free pro version for their donations to the Aprelium Forum |

I'm cool with that... hehe.
Depending on what the features turn out to be in the Pro version as oppose to the personal version, I may buy it... However I still like supporting Aprelium. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Yeah, make sure inspaminate gets a free copy, because post count means everything... Duh. To be honest, if the free version doesn't end up with true virtual hosting, I'm afraid I'll probably be off to Apacheland :( |

I e-mailed Aprelium about vhosting in the personal
version and they said they will think about it , it maybe
possible that virtual hosting will be available on the
free version also but their may be a limit on how many
virtual hosts you can add which was my suggestion to
them but we will see what happens , stick around !
----------------------------------------------------------------
Here Are Six Reason's To Stay With Abyss
1. Its very simple to use that even a beginner
can set it up with , Perl , PHP , Python , Shorthand
2. their is a browser based configuration tool that
allows easy access to all the servers features.
3. Apache uses mainly modules for PHP
Installations and its not like configuring
CGI programs on Abyss , its harder !
4. I have had some troubles showing my PHP
Pages when hosting on Apache on my Win98
5. Apache crashed one time when I was using it
through out the whole month , Abyss doesn't crash!
6. Apache has had more vulnerabilities than Abyss
combined which is why Abyss Web Server is so secure.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I could come up with more reasons than that if you want
but to list all of the reasons , that would be spamming ! |

Could have fooled me...
I think the majority of users here aren't making a lot of money off their websites; but almost all of us want virtual hosting. Because I do not plan to make any money off any of my websites, paying for a webserver would be sort of hard (because there are other costs involved, such as bandwidth and electricity). Of course, it seems Aprelium had this in mind, and therefore will probably be planning for a Pro version targeted at people who do plan to make money off their website. The only problem with this is, the majority of people who dedicate an entire computer to hosting websites usually want to get the most out of the new service as they can--which usually means multiple websites.
Because of this, and depending on Aprelium's marketing scheme, Apache may be a prominent option for many people here. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
