|
|
Hi. This message has two purposes. First, it is a warning, second, it is a problem that I need your help with. First the warning:
About a month ago, SeliSoft (the maker of ActiveHTML) sent out an email to those whose addresses they have informing them of a new version of ActiveHTML. Like a faithful little user, I upgraded. While I was upgrading, SeliSoft failed to inform me that they have tricked me - they have removed the free version of ActiveHTML, and that when I upgraded, I would be forced into paying for it after the trial period expired. So firstly, be warned. If you haven't already, do not upgrade! Neither their email nor their update website says anything about the free version going away!
Secondly, I need your help. If anyone has the older version of ActiveHTML, I need it. I need it, and I need the special file they sent that unlocks the product. If you could please let me know, either through this board or via email (coonabeast@hotmail.com), I would really appreciate it. Thanks. |

I am in the same situation :(
I would use PHP, but I am more familiar with ASP (sadly!), and I don't really want to spend a few weeks re-prorgramming all the ASP to PHP.
Does anyone have an older version (the free version) that they may send to us?
I can be emailed at info@cdluna.com or private messaged.
Thanks in advance! |

I'm using the new Not-Free version of AHTML, and so far, I have not been prompted to buy it. It still runs, and still processes the ASP scripting on my server. I got it over a month ago... _________________ http://onesolutionband.no-ip.com |

I think when this thread was started it wasn't quite so clear. Anyway. Lets cut a long story short. Does anyone one know how to extend the evaluation period??? A simple unistall and reinstall doesn't work before anyone comes up with that one! |

My advice would be "Don't!" If you're really "way out of your depth" you don't want to start by trying to write a forum. As well as good ASP skills, you'll need to be competent (at least) with a SQL-based DBM like SQL Server, Access or MySQL.
There are a lot of excellent FREE forum systems to be had for the downloading. This one, which is PHP-based, is widely used. A very similar ASP-based product is WebWiz (http://www.webwizguide.info/web_wiz_forums/forum_download.asp).
I recently rebuilt my company's support site. By incorporating a third-party forum, I reckon I saved about 50% of the development time. |

try deleting it in the registry afterward :!: WARNING: only do this if you know what you are doing, you can make it so you can never start windows again without reinstalling it............ :!: MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, OR DON'T TRY IT!!!!!!!!!! |
