Hey, I have mysql and phpmyadmin. Mysql server is always on but when i turn it off phpmyadmin still runs. What is mysql thing for? |

Why did you install it if you don't know what it is? ;-)
MySQL is a database server. It is such a thing that runs forums, portals, CMS's etc.

we can say that phpadmin is front end, from where you can create and manage databases. my sql is database server that is free ware and open sources. |
