Hi
This is probably a very stupid question which is why I cant find any answer to it anywhere as it's probably too obvious but I'll ask it anyway.
My trial version of Active HTML ran out and I want to get the Free license version but it says on selisofts site that they will need the computername of the webserver (%COMPUTERNAME%), so does anyone know how I would find this out?
Also could anyone tell me if the personal version will be allright for testing Asp code on or is it limited in some way?

The best thing to do is to ask SeliSoft how to get this information.

For Macs, the name is the File Sharing name, set in the File Sharing or Sharing Setup control panel.
For Windows, the name is the network ID, located in either the "properties" window of "My Computer" (Win 2000, XP) under the Network Identification tab (click the Properties button) or in the Network control panel, under the "Identification" tab (Win 95/98).
I registered my version with them ( through e-mail) and they sent me a code and a zip file to expand into my windows system folder. |
