I have setup abyss and have dns numbers, but were do i put them?
the default 127.0.0.1 shows up and i have looked or over looked were the dns goes.
If you could help on this, i am setting up a home school were students can access my computer on line from there home to aid teachers.
it seems abyss would do what we need.
also can formmail be setup on abyss? using formail for tests and quiz pages to be emailed to teacher from my computer

If you have the IP of your computer (something like 111.112.113.114), you can access the web server without additional configuration by telling people to browse http://111.112.113.114 . If you have also a full name such as mycomputer.mycompany.com then you can tell them to browse http://mycomputer.mycompany.com . In the two cases, you need not to do a particular thing to make Abyss Web Server recognize and use these adresses. It'll work automatically.

There is no reason why this script won't work. Abyss Web Server supports CGI and so supports executing scripts written in Perl provided that you install a Perl interpreter (refer to http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/perl.html ).
Thank you for using Abyss Web Server and please feel free to send us further questions. _________________ Support Team
