|
|
Dear all,
A preconfigured PHP 5.2.6 package for Windows has been released last week and it has been tested by some users.
We extend the test to the forum members and if everything's fine, we'll make it public in the next week.
The package is available from: http://www.aprelium.com/data/php526.exe
The installation instructions are similar to those in http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/php5win.html with one major exception: Type must be set to Standard
READ THIS IF YOU ARE UPGRADING:
If you are upgrading from an old preconfigured PHP package do not forget to set Type to Standard in the interpreter declaration.
MacOS X version:
We're preparing it and it will be released soon. _________________ Support Team

No input file specified I believe is an error from PHP. The web server is trying to get PHP to run a file that it can't find. Most likely the problem is the configuration. Also the latest PHP is supposed to be run as "standard". _________________ -Blake | New Server :D

Seems pretty clear to me that he said Mac OS X. Apparently Aprelium hasn't released it yet. _________________ -Blake | New Server :D

I got problem when tring to compile php 5.2.6 for an arm processor. Not matter what I do, I don't seem to get it to make the excutable. right I have the followings in the bin directory:
php-cgi.dSYM, php.dSYM, php-config, phpize, pecl, peardev and pear, but I don't have php-config-5.2.6 and php-5.2.6. _________________ Health Article Forum | Natural Herbal Remedy |

Building PHP can be very tricky. Actually we had to heavily update their build process just to get the beast to compile fine on Mac OS X. And we have to continuously tweak it with each new version they release.
Chances are that you are experiencing the same problems when targetting ARM. Out of curiosity, are you using a cross-compiler? Are you having error reports with ./configure? _________________ Support Team

Just wondering why PHP 5.2.2 is still the official download. the 5.2.6 preconfigured package is definitely running fine for me on my Windows based OS. 5.2.2 has many insecure issues and should be removed from the official downloads I know that Mac OS systems may still have problems with this new preconfigured package but then that is Mac. Perhaps the 5.2.6 release can be separated by OS. Post the 5.2.6 for windows only. Leave the 5.2.2 one up recommending it for Mac OS until the bugs can be worked out. 5.2.7 will be coming soon and these delays need to be resolved. Just because one OS is not compatible should not delay releases for ALL systems. This is why so many code websites HAVE separate sections for different operating systems. The official release of this important package on Aprelium is taking way to long. Please look into working with this method of release as many websites are probably STILL running the older version as many fear using beta software. |
