Hi, im 80% through the install of assp anti spam for my mail server, il feel beter once its installed. Problem is cos im not a programmer i stumbled on the last hurdle. I installed all the perl packages needed but then stumbled here, couldnt work it out using: command promps, PPM, or CDM.
These are the instructions:
8. Open the command line and navigate to the c:\assp directory, and
Execute the following command:
perl addservice.pl -i c:\assp\assp.pl c:\assp
9. Click on Start ? Settings ? Control Panel ? Administrative Tools
? Component Services ? Services and start the ASSP service; set the
ASSP service to start automatically.
10. Open a web browser and point it to http://127.0.0.1:55555. At
the login screen, the default password is nospam4me. The username is
left blank.
DONT UNDERSTAND OPEN THE COMMAND LINE, Although i have used the command DIR to open the directory. Then when i try to "EXECUTE The COmmand"
perl addservice.pl -i c:\assp\assp.pl c:\assp
Nothing happens but i dont know how or wheere to execute it. Any assistance would be apreciated. Thanks A Lot. |

Open the command line =
* Click on "Start"
* Select "Execute"
* Type cmd
* Press the Enter key.
A black terminal window will be opened. This the command line window. Type the commands there and press Enter after each one to execute it and get the result. _________________ Support Team

I opened the command line.
used the DIR fcommant to go to the folder, then the following command
perl addservice.pl -i c:\assp\assp.pl c:\assp
Just says cant open per script addservice.pl
Cant get past this point/ does the path to perl need setting up somewhere? because i removed the first part of the command and made it:
c:\assp\assp.pl c:\assp
and a text file opened, the path to perl was user/bin/ etc.
Perl isnt there it C:\Perl
Il try it anyway? |
