Im trying to get PHPbb installed on my abyss webserver. I have PHP setup works fine, and I downloaded MySQL 4 and I run mysqladmin, and when I try to install using 4x it says it cannot connect to database, and I created one, and it shows up under "databases" in the admin menu.
Do I have to have something else running other then mysqladmin when I try to install or what? Please any help would be grateful!! |

Theres a guide on MySQL under the tutorials forum. You might wish to look it over. Simply make sure MySQL is running without any problems and the rest is easy. Good luck :)

You created the database already? So now you need to create a user with privileges, so on the install screen for phpbb, you put in the db name and the username and password you created for that db.
