Hi,

I'm trying to convert some old Web* Flexmail scripts to Perl to use under Abyss. Below is a post on how to convert these scripts to Apache:

8.5. Moving WebSTAR Flexmail to iTools

Question: I'm using Flexmail with WebSTAR. How do I move these scripts to iTools with Apache?
Answer: Formication is a Perl version of Flexmail, so it has all the features of Flexmail, plus more. It was designed by one of the developers of the original Flexmail.

When you convert from WebSTAR to Apache you can keep your scripts intact.
With iTools, all you need to do is to add the appropriate Handler and Action:
iTools Admin -> MIME Settings -> Handlers

Handler Name: Flexmail
Associated Extension: .flx

->Actions:
Action Type: Flexmail
CGI Script: /cgi-bin/formication.pl

The link to the Formication Forms Processor is here:

Is there a way to do this under Abyss?

Ian

There are at least 2 ways to achieve the conversion. Please contact us by email and we'll give you the instructions.
