Hello, i have setup the abyss webserver, and it works fine on my home network. I can view it from any ocmputer in my house. But, when i am outside of my netowrk, like at school, it says the server could not be found. Now i know that i have my router set up right, and port 80 fowared to my computer, because for example if i use a webserver called MyWebServer, which i used to use, it works. What oculd be the problem?
thanks |

Did you check to see if the port settings from your router are the same as your abyss web console, if your port is on 80 set 80 to your abyss web console , if that does not work you must have missed something when configuring your router. _________________ This web server is the best ! |

Not sure about the other servers which worked but Abyss doesn't run as a service and a firewall could possibly intercept the activity of Abyss being accessed by the outside... Numerous factors can be in your way... Try some process of elimination and get back to us... If you solve the problem let us know too. Good luck :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez

I had the same problem. If I change my port to 8080, then my web page can been accessed from outside. Unfortunately, they have to enter my address with a :8080 on th end.
Apparently some ISPs don't allow you to use 80. |
