I found this really cool freeware title called Servers Alive 4.0.1356 at http://www.woodstone.nu/salive/. It monitors Abyss and should also be able to monitor MySQL if you have it locally... It does monitor up to ten different servers, local or remote but don't hold me to it on the remote...

If Abyss or MySQL for any reason crash, this little program I believe might start them up again... Pretty cool if you're running Abyss and MySQL and either have to go to sleep with your speakers off or leave the house...

It has an alert function, which can really get your attention in a chock full of ways... pager, sms, Instant Message, Email, etc... Great feature in case someone within your house keeps turning your servers off for what ever reason, etc...

I thought I share this with you guys who are using Abyss and seriously hosting with it... I havent played much with it myself but am getting ready to. I'll be sure to write about in further detail after actually testing it...
