Hello, I want to hook my dad's computer and my conputer together using linksys to forms a net work. So we could share dvds and send big files back and forth to eachother. I have WindowsXP Home and he has WindowsXP Pro. If anyone knows any GOOD Tutorials or can tell me how to make a network using a linksys router it would be really helpfull, Thanks ;) _________________ Picture of my a$$ coming soon till than look at this ( ( ) <== NICE A$$! |

(Note: This doesn't really refer to Abyss...)
If both you and your dad's computer are connected to the same Linksys router, then you can run the "Network Setup Wizard" (find it in "My Network Places") to set up a network. After that has been completed, you can then type "\\dadscomputername" into a Windows Explorer window to access his shared documents--and he can do the same to you.
If you would like to share more folders on the network, right click them, and go into the "Sharing" tab. Also, F1 (Windows help) isn't a bad resource... _________________ Bienvenidos! |
