I run my own mail server, but in the past couple of weeks i have been having problems recieving mail.
>>> RCPT To webmaster@shost.no-ip.org>
<<< 503 This mail server requires authentication when attempting to send to a non-local e-mail address. Please check your mail client settings or contact your administrator to verify that the domain or address is defined for this server.
554 5.0.0 Service unavailable
I have a dynamic IP Address, and I am stumped for ideas. _________________ My online Portfolio |

If you're having problems receiving mail, why are you posting a section from your SMTP log? From that, it looks like you're just failing to set up a username/password in whatever you use as an SMTP client.
If it's more than that, a little more information about your setup would help - mail server, ISP, etc. _________________

That log entry is one that my mate got when he sent mail to me server.
My isp dosnt block any ports, and i am using hmail. On windows xp pro.
I am going to re-install windows xp pro, as i have lost half of the windows OS. Like there is only 3 things in the control panel ect. So that might solve the problem. _________________ My online Portfolio |

The error is pretty self explanitory. You don't have shost.no-ip.org on the list of domains which your server recieves mail for. (That or you haven't made it so anyone can send anything with it.)
I fail to see what this has to do with a corrupt system, and blocked ports. _________________
