I am a newbee for this server.
I have X2 and configured a new webserver named "www.myweb.de".
For the root-directory a set "C:\AbyssWebServer\htdocs\myweb". There i have my html files. Port is 80.
If a start firefox and enter "www.myweb.de", i get a message-site "The requested URL could not be retrieved".
What's wrong with my definitions ? :(

Can you access your server via its IP address?
Did you enter your IP Address into the DNS settings for your domain?
Do you have a router? If so did you forward port 80?
Search the forum for more things to try. If you get no where or dont understand something then feel free to ask. :-)

Please read http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=52043#52043 to know how to test locally your hosts when they have names (such as www.myweb.de).

Thanks a lot for helping. But it doesn't work.
I tested my site locally using its domain name "www.myweb.de". The host definition is "C:\AbyssWebServer\htdocs\pmwiki-2.0.13". Port ist 80. Copy Configuration is "Deafault Configuration". In the windows-host-file i added "127.0.0.1 www.myweb.de" after "127.0.0.1 localhost". My localhost default server is defined as ""C:\AbyssWebServer\htdocs" and all other options are standard.
What i am doing wrong ? :( :( :( :(

It works. I have to set the proxy connection for the internet WITHOUT www.myweb.de.
