Hi, im quite new to web hosting, and im having a bit of a prob with setting up my server going through my LAN, if i set my router to give the public IP to my computer (no other connections are allowed if i do that) everything works ok, but because i have a laptop aswell i cant do this. ATM i have a Buffalo Wireless ADSL Modem Router WMR-G54DB, i think i need something with port forwarding, this hasnt got this but it has got virtual server thingy which dont work.
Can anybody tell me a good Wireless ADSL Modem Router which has got port forwarding or whatever i need to get my site to work over the LAN, under £100 if pos.

That is a list of lots of different routers at lots of different price ranges. Personally I would go with a "Linksys" wireless router because I am 99% that they have Port Forwarding. Mine is Linksys (not wireless though) and it has port forwarding and a friends ADSL Linksys wireless router (no longer sold on ebuyer by the looks of it) had it also.
I have had no problems with ebuyer and I have bought at least 10 things from them. I ordered a wireless access point myself yesterday from them.

Thank you the inquisitor, ive just ordered a
((Linksys Wireless-g Adsl2+ Modem Router - Gateway 4-port Switch+ Access point))
i hope this does what i need, ill tell you when i have it set up

Hi, it was probably my own fault for not mentioning that i am using bulldog broadband, but the linksys router mentioned above will not connect to the ISP, can anbody suggest a similar router that does work with bulldog?
