With my hosting from AWSHost.co.uk, I'd like to offer the newer users of the forum something special. Forum hosting. 5 are slots available. Um.. I think that's it .. Any questions just post a reply. :)

Perhaps you could repeat the sentence above in English? _________________

Maybe some specs, a price if there is one and any other useful info, how to sign up etc would probably help... _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Andrew, As you referred to price would that not violate any of your terms? |

No, its totally within your rights to sell webspace, but if I remember correctly, not on package below silver. Its in the TOS, www.awshost.co.uk/tos.php _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

If you are hosting for them it would be easier just to install phpbb for them. A mulit forum script can not be found on the internet for phpbb, as i have looked vairous times on google and the phpbb forums. I am currently in the process of making a very simple mulit forums script in phpbb which will be free for abyss users and unavailable to apache users. Yes you got it, i am blocking my script from running on Apache.! _________________ My online Portfolio |

... Why?
Why block about half the worlds web servers from using something you create? Surely you're better off with more potential users? _________________

His answer will probably be "Because IMO Apache sucks" _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

... Ignoring the fact that if you give your script out in anything but completely obfuscated form it'll take all of 30 seconds to fix and just make you look like an ass. _________________

Can you post here the .htaccess file generated by the script? It will be easier to convert it knowing what rules they have set. _________________ Support Team

this .htaccess file is in the main folder which i have called "phpbb2"
Quote: | <Files example>
ForceType application/x-httpd-php
</Files>
<Files test>
ForceType application/x-httpd-php
</Files> |
and then there is a .htaccess file in phpbb2/cache/
Quote: | <Limit GET POST PUT>
Order Allow,Deny
Deny from All
</Limit> |
this is just a example on what happens when you try and go to a created forum http://www.jibba-jabba.net/phpbb2/example _________________ http://www.jibba-jabba.net | http://www.mosthauntedforum.com |

These htaccess files do not do anything more than declaring PHP support and restricting the supported HTTP methods. The declaration they add are already available by default in Abyss Web Server so you can ignore them.
If there is a mod_rewrite configuration in htaccess then you should follow the method suggested above. Otherwise, nothing should be added to Abyss Web Server to make it support this script. _________________ Support Team
