dmonline.sytes.net resolves to IP 8.4.112.98 and it seems not to be working (it does not even respond to ping).

here is the deal, i think that windows xp makes my computer go into powersaver mode, and disconnects my connection, because whenever i come back and wake it up, it says that my connection is now established...

any ideas?

Thats probably why then, disable standby mode.

It just says waiting for: 141.xxx.xxx.xxx. Doesnt display any page.

Just had a thought, make sure your router (if you use one) is set to auto reconnect on idle because the connection may be shutting down when you leave it. MSN Messenger was keeping TRUSTAbyss on for a while until I found that solution. Basically it was using the connection so it wasnt dropped.

First though, get the website working.

That ip: 141.158.186.40 just says waiting for. No connection, no page.

here is the deal..... i created a passthrough on my adsl modem, it assigns the ip directly to my computer.... then, in windows xp i created a pppoe connection, to connect with verizon's server.

OK, try a different port, try say, 8080. Your ISP may block port 80.

ok, set to 8080... know what the worst part is, westell wont support my modem, they say that my isp has to support it, and my isp says that they wont support what i'm trying to do..... they tried to sell me space on their server so my name could be www.verizon.com/equinox_black

There you go then, all you need now is a port 80 redirection service. No-IP does one but they advertise with it :-(

You still have to type in the port if you get a domain, for example; www.example.com:8080.

Oh, and by the way, my server is online again. I've reinstalled it and it works fine now.
