|
|
Hello!
I need some help: I want to install LongHorn, but I have nothing to split it up on multiple cds. I have five 700 meg CD's and they are all CD-RW and an empty computer (nothing on it :S). So, I need to find a way to split the install (iso) on multiple CDs. Does anyone know how to?
Thank you,
Jared _________________ Hosted Abyss Sites-

I dont think you can cause of how the installer works.
You'd have to borrow a dvd burner off of someone, or there may be one at a cyber cafe or something. _________________

DVD burners are cheap these days anyway, only about £40 for mine. 16x DVD+/-RW. Simple. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Hello!
Whats a Cyber Cafe? Sorry never heard of one. Anyways, I can't install anything, such as a dvd burner, into my computer cause of the warrenty. They have a tag thing that if you pull off to install anything, it'll say "Warrenty VOID". My warrenty ends the end of this year. BTW, Andy said something about using multiple-disks, like I talked about. Though, I have a computer waiting for Vista, so, if anyone finds out, just tell me.
Thank you,

You might be able to confuse it, and split the folders in the iso into different cd's. During install it should say insert the cd that contains X file. Just an idea, probably wont work. Meh, stranger things have happened. _________________

Its not Longhorn anymore, its Vista. Probably a Warez or Torrent site. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Windows Vista was released last week to 10,000 beta testers worldwide, and put up for download on the microsoft site for MSDN subscribers. _________________
