|
|
Hi,
I am a new user of Abyss and testing perl scripts but no luck, a simple test script shows an HTTP 404 error (page not found).
I already did the Perl support setup as described in the help section but still getting the same error.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Error 404 means the web server could not find the file you are trying to use. Make sure it is in the htdocs folder then try again. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

The documentation says the cgi-bin does not exist and is also not needed because Abyss knows how to execute these files already. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Abyss Web Server can execute Perl scripts regardless of their location so cgi-bin is not really required. But if it can make your script happy, you can create cgi-bin inside your htdocs directory and put the files there. _________________ Support Team

thanks for the info ... i was actually creating the cgi-bin folder inside the Abyss Web Server folder and it is not working ... it did not occur to me that it should be inside the htdocs folder as well :)
thanks again :) |

You can still create cgi-bin in the Abyss Web Server folder , just copy the
following settings I have for the cgi-bin Alias and thats all you do. LateR!
Create cgi-bin outside of your htdocs and add this Alias.
