any HTML editor will be fine, as abyss gust sends out the HTML to the user's browser. It's up to the browser to sort it out and display it on the screen as the designer intended.
it depends on if you want a WYSIWYG editor, or not. _________________ Olly |

I'm Struck on Frontpage but if you have the time to learn or don't know either yet Dreamweaver may be a better choice........
Just my opinion though as stated before any would be fine.. |

I like edit plus. It supports syntax highlighting and other languages (all with syntax highlighting). Notepad is good enough though. _________________ int main() {

Nvu can do WYSIWYG and does things like text editing and such, much better than any of the above. |

I can't stand wysiwyg. HTML isn't all that difficult. The most difficult part about it is the tables, edit plus has a feature that will let you select how you want the tables setup and thats about it. I suppose if you want to use wysiwyg you can though. :D _________________ int main() {

It's fast, I use it to edit my website and see what it looks at at the same time. Text editing is the only way to do PHP though. |

I use Dreamweaver 2004 MX primarilly in code mode - wysiwig mode still sucks for those of us doing CSS xhtml compliant stuff...I love it's site management features to. There are still some interface things that I'd change and add.
I use TopStyle Pro for all my CSS (and occational coding) needs and Altova's XML Spy for XML/XSL stuff. Notepad2 is also a VERY handy text editor. _________________ ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I use AceHTML 6 Pro to produce my sites, it's a text editor with built in syntax highlighter.
It can also write bits of the code for you, based on the "stuff" you give it. _________________ Olly |

Try Matrix Y2K at http://www.crystalfibers.com/. It's not a true WYSIWYG editor but it allows a novice to write in HTML and view the results. It doesn't add all the garbage code that is added by the WYSISYG editors.

I use Frontpage for basically everything... I do a lot of coding manually, but for all the "auto" stuff, Frontpage does just fine.
I used to use dreamweaver back in the day because of how easy it was to set up a navigation bar. But I abandoned it quite a while ago. |

I've been using office Publisher 2003.
And what I see as I add to or change is what my pages look like.
It's very ease to use and moving things around on the page is very ease to do.
Downside:
The page code is very, very long |

out of preference I prefer coding.
As for editors, I use notepad and FPX and Dreamweaver. |

Have a look at Weaverslave too, it's a very decent editor. (My favourite of the moment). |

I personally use CuteHTML, mainly because it came with CuteFTP when i bought it and it is small and fast. It supports highlighting and other features...
I use Dreamweaver MX when i'm coding and CuteHTML when i need to make quick changes/edits and don't wanna wait for Dreamweaver to load. _________________ -NoName

Yeah... wtf?
What the Hell are you talking about? If you can't find a script and stick it in, there's a problem. Besides, I stopped using WYSIWYG after I got Photoshop. |

I use TextPad 4.7.3 for everything.
It has two tools that I use most...Compare Files and Find In Files.
You can't do that with notepad. ;) |

I used to use notepad, but then I got fed up with some of its limitations(only one undo, etc) so I found Evrsoft 1st Page.
It does have all buttons to insert tables and things, but ive never tried them(I use expert mode). _________________

I am not very good at designing web pages with notepad or nvu yet. I am wondering if there is a good place to download a ready made web page that i can play around with on nvu, and edit for my needs?
i finally have my router setup correctly, the abyss server has not failed me once, Ramileus.com is up and running 8D
