Why didn't you just try Linksys support chat , its free and its on the linksys
website , they will help you forward a port to your router , Have A Nice Day!

I take it by your post that you took the thing outta the box, wired it up and plugged it in.
http://192.168.1.1/ <-- click this and then you will see a login box, IF you have not gone through this process, you will not have set the password so your machies connection is basically insecure and anybody can configure or reset your router settings.
If you have set up a password, login...
if not... Login by ignoring the username and typing admin into the password box below it and hit the ok button, if you do not get logged in you may have mistyped or a password has been set.
Click on password and type in a password, when you have set it you will be asked to login again... Type in a username of your choice then enter the password, you will then need to use that password and username combination to access your router from now on.
then when you have logged in again, hit the Advanced link, Forwarding and then the UPnP button, this is where you forwar specific ports to servers and services that do not rely too much on needing ranges of ports.
once setup, hit the apply button and then the continue button, you may have to wait a few seconds for the changes to take place.
Your router should now be secure and forwarding ports of your selection. |
