I downloaded active html instlled and pointed the cgi step for step

i added html code to point to my asp file for ex

<!--#include file="aspfolder/aspfile.asp" -->

i have the aspfolder in the default abyss server folder "htdocs"

and still it is not working
please help

You are using SSI to include a file. If you want to include a file using SSI, the page needs to have the extension .shtml.

If this code is in an ASP file, it is meant to be processed by ActiveHTML. So can you please post here the exact inclusion line. Are you sure that the relative path aspfolder/aspfile.asp exists? Is there an error message?

Your page (that that processes the include statement) needs to end in .asp as well...otherwise it will not be parsed (unless you specify that HTML files are also parsed - which would just put added, unessasary strain on the server...

But let's see the code of the main page and your include...
