Hi guys was wondering if any of you knew how to make a stats thingybob witch would tell people when my webserver is up or down like thw ones you can get for messenger services

I was wondering if that was possible with the webserver

The Delorie one works because it tries to get the headers from your website, and if it is down, well then it won't be able to get the headers; now will it.

nquin321: I really like that script, however I can never get it to work. Regardless of what URL I put in there, it gives me the "Online" status. I know being online is good, however if something goes offline, I would like people to know.

Make sure you have the right format for the address of your server.

SERVER ADDRESS
Domain name or IP address without the protocol prefix.
Valid
ftp.pensador.org
192.168.1.100

Invalid
ftp://ftp.pensador.org:21
ftp.pensador.org/
ftp://username:pass@192.168.1.100
