|
|
Hey all,
I've been running my server for ages now and all has been working well. However, tonight I finally correctly configured phpMyAdmin (prior to tonight I had PHP and MySQL both working great - in fact I was running a forum on my website http://www.altamontunion.com - however tonight I was instructed to uninstall/reinstall MySQL/phpMyAdmin to get phpMyAdmin to work).
So, with PHP, MySQL, and phpMyAdmin all working like a charm, I decided to go into phpMyAdmin and import my forum database, which I had backed up earlier this night. The forum I'm using is phpBB. Anywho, I'll create my database, then under the SQL tab I'll select my database .sql file and click "go". I'll wait and wait and wait, then it'll just give me "The page cannot be displayed - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error"!! The .sql file is only 805 kb. I honestly can't figure out what's going on... please help me if you can.
Thank you in advance. :) |

If you backed the database up directly from phpBB then you can use the Restore Database option _________________ Olly |

And if you did a raw backup (copied all the files from the "data" directory) just turn off mySQL and replace them. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

The forum is indeed back up and running... however, I used the phpMyAdmin "SQL" feature this morning and, unlike the night before, it worked this time.
Weird. |

And let me just make a suggestion: When you back up your phpBB database, check the "Gzip compress file." It has worked better for me when I do that; it might be the same for you. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
