Hi, I am experiencing some problems with a connection.
I have abyss, bulletproof ftp and teamspeak servers all running on one computer under windows 98 on 512k broadband, i also have an XP machine connected to the internet though the windows 98 machine via a 10mbit ethernet connection. Every time i try to open a chat room or multiple web pages, the servers crash. The teamspeak server goes offline for a 30 seconds or so and quite often i am required to reboot the windows 98 machine totally. Is there any particular reason why this is happenning, and is there any way i can stop this from happenning. Please help! |

Well I think your subject explains your problem perfectly: It is "Some kind of overload."
What are the specs on the 98 machine? My guess would be, with all those servers running, and someone trying to connect to the internet through it, the machine couldn't handle it. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Well, one question. Is it the Connection or the PC.
If i got a router to connect both machines to the internet directly, would this fix it? Thanks for the reply.

If both computers connected via a router instead of one through the other, then that would definitely take the load off. I'm not sure if it would fix it completely, but it would sure help. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
