USING CGI.

Hi my name is danny. I recently downloaded the abyss web server program and Im liking it so far. One thing i need help with is creating a guest book on my server. I wish to creat a guest book on my webpage where people can post messages and they are sent to a different page just like the one im using to post this message. Im pretty sure I can use the CGI perameter options to do this but I dont know how CGI works or how to use CGI in creating a guest book.........if anyone can help me please post any help / advice you may have. thanks kindly.

You must download a guestbook script (there are many free ones on http://www.hotscripts.com for example), install support for the language it uses (PHP or Perl, see http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/php.html or http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/perl.html), copy the script files inside your web site directory, and read its documentation to know how to set it up.

as aprelium said, you should download a guestbook script. But they are pretty easy to make one yourself :wink:

But yeah, go ahead and download one from www.hotscripts.com
