Please explain how you configured your IP Address Control rules. |

Thanks for your reply.
I have been using Abyss for many years. I loveit and it is first-rate.
We are going to have some changes to our website soon. One of the changes is: it will be viewed by only a handful of our members. Therefore we want to deny access to all IPs excluding our members. Of course, we have already Access Control for our users, they use password to log in, but to make it more private, we want to deny access to all IPs excluding or customers. I think that is possible through IP Address Control as you have mentioned. I tried so many different times but could not get it right. Right now:
Order: Deny/allow
Allowed IP Addresses: localhost (127.0.0.1)
192.168.0.1-192.168.255.254
172.16.0.1-172.31.255.254
10.0.0.1-10.255.255.254
Denied IP Addresses: Empty.
Let say I want to give access only to 3 ips
99.245.130.45
57.23.219.255
46.209.44.390
How is my IP Address Control will look?
Thank you and thanks to the creator of Abyss Server.

Set it up as allow/deny and add those IP's to the allow table. _________________ -Blake | New Server :D

Just go in and add those 3 IP addresses to the allowed list, and change the order to allow/deny (as rrinc said). Allow/deny: "access is denied by default and is allowed only if the client IP address is in the Allowed IP Addresses list and is not in the Denied IP Addresses list".
You may want to take note here, though. If one of your member's IP address changes, they won't have access anymore. Only people with static IP addresses won't change. It costs a bundle to get one of those. Also, they can only view your site from their default internet connection. For the average person, Abyss' user interface will keep any unauthorized viewers away. _________________ Stephen

I did what guys said, but it did not work.
I changed Order to allow/deny and added IP of one of our member to Denied IP Addresses. But a friend whose IP was not in Denied IP Address, had no problem to log in our website.
Thanks.

I need to block or deny anyone trying to send BCC emails, meaning if someone adds addresses to the BCC field the server would not allow him/her to send it. How can I do it? Is it an SMTP configuration?
Please help me.
