I sent an email to support and go a very quick response back that solved my problem.. Run it as a service!!!! That allows it to execute at root level from a user account and solves the port 80 proble ... |

Ok, I ran as root and that solves the problem. GOOD CALL!
Now all I have to do is worry about security. I did a su root and then executed with the -r option. I hope that does it.

I don't use Linux (and haven't in a long time), but I remember being told that only the root account could use ports <= 1024. I could be wrong.

Port 80 is most likely because Apache is running, something some linux distros do by default. Find it and disable it.
