i created the virtual and real paths.

that was the problem. i commented out the doc_root in php.ini and all is well with aliases now.

this is going to be really nice. now i can use aliases in my browser window in the eclipse ph ...

i found an acceptable workaround for now. i put the doc_root in php.ini to
c:\

and i put the doc root in abyss to c:\ as well.

now at least i can type in a path to where i need to go. ...
