You could just run a program like Argosoft mail server and disable the web feature and use your own smtp, thats how I'm doing it right now...

It ok. Its not a problem with abyss (I'm using the latest version)
Its the program we run at work which causes the program (dos based :evil: )
But I removed it because I didn't need it on that compu ...

That would be it. So instead of going through your domain its going directly to you server's ip address
Just change all links to your domain name instead of ip and you should be set 8)

Are you sure you have your router forwarding port 80 to the computer your running it on?

I've had abyss crash a lot on me (only because the computer was really slow(250mhz) and I was running 10+ programes)

For me, any windows 9x it will cause a bsod, on windows xp it will do the equivi ...

I don't think there is a limit unless you change it in the control panel (I think 20 simultaneous connections is default)
It depends on you sever and the connection

If there aren't any databases that could be your problem. There should be the database named mysql the contains all of the user privileges info. (at least thats what I've understood)

You can't use the real directory you need to use the virtual one. (Shouldn't that be in the htdocs folder? :? )
so if it was in htdocs it would look something like this
