Thanks for your reply but I've tried this. I even formatted my C: drive and reinstalled Windows then Abyss, PHP, Mysql and phpMyAdmin (from your tutorial) only to find that l still get the message

You seem to be back up again. I've ran through the tutorial and everything seems to have gone to plan but when I went to mysqladmin I get the following message on the 'Environment' tab:

Is your website down a lot of the time? I'm having trouble connecting but I really want to try your tutorials because I've been unable to get the others to work.
