|
|
I just want to make a custom 403 error message but still get the generic "forbidden" message provided by the Abyss server. I also tried the IE advanced settings by shutting off the friendly HTTP error messages. I tried a custom 405 error and it worked fine, and I also looked in the abyss.conf file and the error 403 as well as the local path is there as well. Please help...Thanks |

Does the user has permissions to access the error page? For example, if you deny /errors from all addresses and tries to use a page within that folder, the server will not read the custom error page since it is not allowed to access it. |

syberstorm,
Please send your abyss.conf file to support@aprelium.com and let us know which URL you are visiting to get this default 403 page instead of the custom one.

This problem may be related to the size of the 403 error file. For a 404 error, IE requires the file to be at least 512 bytes long or it will show it's own page (http://www.plinko.net/404/howto.asp?article=3). If you make the 403 error file larger than 1 kilobyte, will it work properly? _________________ Stephen
