I have been over the forums and been over them. I got everything running fine with no pw for root... When I change the pw for root I then can nolonger access the phpadmin page... I get
#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
I have reinstalled mysql several times it seems to keep my old log on from the new user I added but one I add a root pw then I am cut off. I host on my local
127.0.0.1:8000 is there a certain thig that I need to put in the address bar to log in as root? I am new to this and any help would be greatly appreciated. |

You need to put the password in the config.inc.php file. However you should use a cookie login rather than automatic login as it is safer. Follow the phpMyAdmin tutorial on www.abyssunderground.co.uk to find out how. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)
