Just a quick heads up for UK members who may not have a UPS yet...
Ebuyer are currently offering the "Belkin Superior Series Ups 500va With Usb Serial Interface" for £17.95 including VAT.

Well worth picking up IMHO - it may not last an incredibly long time but it will strip out all those nasty power burps and give your PC time for a clean shutdown in longer power cuts. I've just ordered one as a spare or possible replacement for my aging APC UPS.
