Don't worry, I'm not that retarded.
Yes, I've read the other posts on this exact topic, and no they did not work.
I've disabled my firewall, added dns portforwarding from my ip to http://weare.mine.nu and it still doesnt work.
Please do not redirect me, tell me in this post.

Have you tried a different port? Some ISP's block port 80.

If you'd read all the other topics why not pick the most appropiate one, the sticky topic in the networking forum about this exact problem, and add to it instead of demanding that we repeat ourselves over and over like a stuck record?

Quote:

OptOnline prohibits running any type of servers on their network. And yes, they block port 80. And no, there is no way that you can unblock it. Some people run web servers on alternate ports as an option - but OptOnline can still catch you and ask you to shut it down.

Amazing what you can do with a search engine.

Change your port, and your attitude.

Ive spoken with an optimum online representative.
He told me ' 80, 1080, 3128, 8080, 135, 137 TO 139 and 445.' are blocked.
He refered me to the TOS where it says its prohibited to 'a) Run any type of server on the system. This includes but is not limited to FTP, IRC, SMTP, POP, HTTP, SOCKS, SQUID, DNS or any multi-user forums;'.

Put that somewhere up on your site, you'll save a lot of peoples nagging.
Why not instead of getting noob-rushed from people, find out what ISP's block port 80 and post it so people will know faster.

Whats another port I can use?

Think about that last statement. Figure out how many IPS's there are. You honestly expect Aprelium, who actually is developing software and supporting it (meaning they have no time) or the folks who are here to do this? That would be a massive project, not to mention impractical and ineffective.

And maybe if some n00bs would bother checking Google first, then asking questions if they've tried every reasonable search term, we wouldn't have to deal with this. As a matter of fact, it is on this forum to check Google so often I'm suprised you turned around and said you'd tried everything :D

If this is directed to us, here is our answer: we are a software company, we develop software and deploying it is not our job. It's the end-user's responsibility to do that and to check if the network (including the ISP+router+firewall) are able to run a server and to configure your devices accordingly.

There are more than 200 countries in the world and tens of thousands of ISPs, each with its regulation. It's even impossible to maintain a list of them all.
