I, like, downloaded the linux binary, and when I try to run it, nothing happens...
What's going on? O_o |

Binary? :S
Not sure exactly what you downloaded (Distro, etc.) but if I were you I would download a distro from linuxiso.org and burn it to a cd(s) with Burn 4 Free or something similar, and boot the cd.

Yeah, and it looks, like, pretty much the same as on this windows computer, with all the directories, files etc. but when I try to run 'abyssws', nothing happens... |

Nothing happens is strange. There is either an error message from Linux or Abyss Web Server startup messages. So what do you get exactly when you type:
at the command line?
