i am trying to convince my mum on to setup port forwarding but she is scared because of security reason
can anyone give me any advice to help me to convince her to making me able to host my server on the net? |

Port forwarding is not a security risk if you have a firewall set up correctly such as Zone Alarm. I have run my server for a long time and it has never once become a security issue.
Providing you have a decent firewall such as Zone Alarm and a Virus Checker you will be 100% OK.
