does anyone know what MS-WebDAV is? Someone with the ip 202.133.193.5 from the phillippines keeps visiting my site and it seems its MS-WebDAV. Each time its registered as a robot and seems to reload the same page(the main index page). I have banned it using the new tool on abyss, but I wish to know what the heck it was..any help apreciated thanks |

monkey661,
MS-WebDav is the official name of the "Web Folders" feature in Windows. If some one puts you adds you to its computer as a new Network Place (in My Network Places), Windows will from time to time poll your server by sending this kind of requests to check if your server understands WebDAV and communicate with it. |

Basically it's a fancy Folder that points to a URL...If you go to Network Neigborhood or My Network Places, you can create a new Network Place (web folder)...
Just type in the URL to the site and if you have access and the server supports webfolders...you'll see the web site as a normal folder...
Pretty neat hu? _________________ ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
