In my procees tab under CTRL+ALT+DELETE, I have set the priority of Abyss Web Server (both versions) to realtime. Is this dangerous? Will my site go faster? |

Not a great idea.
Quote: | Launching applications with a priority of realtime can cause system instability or failure. Realtime priority lets a process execute in precedence of the core kernel services. Thus, the realtime process can take and keep control of the CPU, preventing the system from maintaining the operational environment. |
"Above Normal" or "High" would be sufficient if you think it will make a difference. However, the basic serving of pages by Abyss is not a CPU intensive task. You are unlikely to see any speed increase.
If you had PHP or other interpreted pages that take a long time to process there may be a small performance increase available in increasing their priority, but as they are executed dynamically while the server is running there's no easy way to up their priority permenantly. |

No. The gain will be very small and not worth the effort. If you want to speed your site, improve your network connection speed. That's usually what helps the most to speed up the service.
If you use a lot of scripts and your hard disk is swapping a lot, more memory could help. _________________ Support Team
