Hi all.
I host a small site from the home office. Can Abyss be configured to run more than 1 site on the same PC?
If so, what do I need to do to accomplish?
Thanks in advance! |

I too have a question relating to multi domain hosting.
I have successfully got 4 domains running from Abyss, but have a small issue with URL's and wondered if I am doing things right..
OK, I have the index.php page in the htdocs folder which in turn sends the requester to the correct directory and index.html giving the correct URL of www.mysite.com. I have had to put all the pages linked to index.html in the htdocs folder so the URL shows www.mysite.com/page1.html. Is there a way to put all pages relevant to that index.html in the same folder as the index.html and show the path of www.mysite.com/page1.html rather than www.mysite.com/mysite/page1.html which is what I get if I put all files in the mysite folder.
Sorry if I have not explained this very well, any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike. |

Currently there isn't a way to get around having the folder extension at the end of the domain, ex: yourdomain.com/v1/index.html...
With Abyss Pro (coming soon), it will support multi-domains and then we won't have to have the 'folders' show on the domain url...
Personally what i do is use version numbers, so it looks better. Ex, i host my sons website and his domain is chasefleeting.info, his folder in htdocs is cfv1, so the url looks like chasefleeting.info/cfv1 and when i make his new version it will have 2 on it... It makes it look a little better and also makes it look like its done on purpose... _________________ -NoName

Their is a way around this but you have to know PHP and have alot of time
on your hands , I would just wait for the Professional version to be released. |

This is posted in several places... There is 'NO' release date right now. We have been told sometime in Feb... There also hasn't been any price set yet either... _________________ -NoName
