Does anyone here know how to allow Abyss to work with Zonelarm pro installed? It's allowed to access the internet and act as a server, but I'm still not allowed people to access it unless I turn off the firewall! Zone labs website is useless, Zone alarm help files are no help
Please help, someone!!!

1. Use sygate, its much better then zone alarm, better security + more..
sygate personal firewall.

If your server is running, please pop the URL in the thread and we can see if its your URL thats the issue.
You say that you have configured the firewall but you say that people can only connect when it switched off, I say check your settings as you have not configured your server to recieve incoming connections on the allocated port... Theirs allot more to configuring a firewall than just giving a program permission to access the internet.
Please can you give more details like your ISP,IP address, hardware between you and the outsideworld...etc... |

The server is on my home computer, and I am using the beta version, bso, here's the address I use.
www.simsimius.uni.cc
If I turn Zone alarm off, everything works fine. Even Windows firewall can be turned on (and that allows you to allow traffic to the server) and everything works.
