Hello everyone,
I have question on file / graphic / bandwidth leeching. Is it possible on Abyss to setup a .htaccess file to stop leeching of graphics and files. If it is, where is the setup for this in the config. If not has anyone got any suggestions on how to do this, possibly a perl or cgi script.
Thanks in advance.

Hi mg66--
The latest beta ( Abyss Web Server X1 (v 2.0.0.8 Beta 1) ) from:
http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5035 (top post has link)
has the feature you are asking for.
For a little more info on this feature try taking a look at this thread:

Know that this is a beta version and the usual caveats are in place. However I have been using this version since it's release and it is working great for me.

Hi mg66--
Using 2.0.0.8 will allow you to "update" you present website. It will re-write your abyss.conf into xml format but all your settings will be preserved.
*note*--It is always a good idea to backup your present website, including your present abyss.conf, before upgrading to 2.0.0.8. That way, you can just re-instate your old server software and website if you wish.
