Welcome to the forums. Quote: | That's like trying to open a nuke with a peanut |
It is really a little overboard to download an entire webserver (although Abyss is fairly small) to open a php file. But if you are ready to go, then this is what you do.
Get PHP running, read the info at http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/php.html
Put the PHP file you want in your htdocs folder.
That should do it! _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Just to be sure where is the htdocs folder? Is it in the Abyss folder? |

Each time I try to open it with Abyss Web Server X1 I get this box displayed:
Abyss Web Server X1 (v 1.2.2.2)

Cannot start the console (Listening problem): The console port is already used by another application.
In the Console menu, select Settings to configure a correct console port.
The Web server is not running.

Your web server is running on the same port as another program. Make sure you didn't start it twice, amd if you didn't, change the port via the console to port 8080 _________________ New image comming soon...

Now I get this:
Cannot start the console (Listening problem): The console port is already used by another application.
In the Console menu, select Settings to configure a correct console port.
I tried to configure another port but it still won't work. |

That is sometimes a problem when your internet is messed up. Also, go http://www.blackcode.com/scan/ to see what ports you have open (and what is using them). That may help.
One more idea, maybe your ISP blocked port 80? _________________ Bienvenidos! |
