Hello I'm trying to learn PHP and MySQL and I've installed both on my computer. I'm just wondering if I'm supposed to run MySQL separately from the Abyss server or is there supposed to be some kind of linking of the two as with the PHP installation.

I don't even know how to use MySQL right now so I'm missing something please let me know. Thanks

Mysql is its own server and has no connection with abyss..only thorugh the scripts you run.
theres no settings that need to be changed in abyss to use mysql

Silly me, I guess checking the tutorials would be the logical thing to do. Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
