hi i am having trouble accessing my page from my external ip i am using a linksys router i have fowarded the ports to 800 i set up abyss to run off port 800 i save all my settings and then type in my external ip address and every time i go to the page it always asks me for my user nam and pass to enter the router config.
it makes no sense everytime i access my external ip it always brings me to my router setup thing. |

It would have made more sense if you searched the forum or read the sticky thread in this topic. Essentially, some routers cannot handle 'loopback'. This means accessing your external IP from behind the router. On entering your IP you will either get your setup page, or the browser will simply fail to connect.
To check whether your forwarded ports are working, you need to either ask a friend to check it for you, or check yourself using a proxy service such as Proxify.com. |
